A basic vitamin and mineral supplement is a good for everyone to take. Find one that is based on the latest scientific research. For instance check the vitamin E content. If only d-alpha tocopheryl is listed as vitamin E then it is obsolete. There are at least eight types of vitamin E and it is many times more effective to consume all than just one type. The best formula will include all eight including d-alpha, gamma, delta and beta tocopherols and tocotrienols.
